Privacy Policy
The short version
Vecspine is a 100% offline desktop application. Your artwork, logos, and traced vectors never leave your machine. We don't run analytics inside the app, we don't collect telemetry, and we don't have an account system. This policy exists mainly to describe the small amount of data we handle on the website and during checkout.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Inside the Software (we don't)
The Vecspine desktop application:
- Does not send any data to our servers;
- Does not contain analytics, tracking pixels, or crash reporters;
- Processes your images and vectors entirely on your local CPU;
- Stores settings and undo history only on your local disk.
Your client logos, unreleased brand assets, and working files remain on your machine at all times.
1.2 License Activation
Vecspine uses offline Ed25519 license activation. During activation, the software generates a Machine ID (a hashed fingerprint of hardware characteristics) which you provide to us via email. We issue a bound license key in return. The Machine ID is:
- A one-way hash — not reversible to the underlying hardware;
- Stored by us only for the purpose of validating and re-issuing your key;
- Never shared with any third party.
1.3 Website & Checkout
When you visit our website or make a purchase, we may receive:
- Purchase information — name, email address, billing address — processed by our payment provider (we do not store card numbers);
- Support correspondence — any emails you send to
support@designersjoint.com; - Basic web-server logs — IP address, timestamp, pages requested — retained for security and abuse prevention.
2. Cookies
Our website uses only strictly necessary cookies required for checkout functionality. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party behavioral analytics.
3. How We Use Your Information
The limited data we collect is used only to:
- Issue and re-issue license keys;
- Process and fulfil orders;
- Respond to support requests;
- Comply with legal obligations (tax, fraud prevention);
- Send occasional product-related emails (only if you opt in).
4. Who We Share With
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data. We share only the minimum necessary with:
- Payment processors — to complete transactions;
- Tax and accounting services — as required by law;
- Law enforcement — only when legally compelled.
5. Data Retention
- Machine IDs for license validation — retained for the life of your license plus 2 years;
- Purchase records — retained for 7 years for tax compliance;
- Support emails — retained until resolved, then archived;
- Web-server logs — rotated every 30 days.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Request correction or deletion;
- Object to or restrict processing;
- Data portability;
- Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

7. Children's Privacy
Vecspine is a professional tool not marketed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
8. International Transfers
Where data must be transferred outside your jurisdiction, we rely on standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards.
9. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we hold — including encrypted storage, access controls, and minimal retention. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
